I am thinking about putting together a PMH texture pack that mappers can use in maps. Suggestions?

Maybe have your 'Planet Monster Hunt' Website title in every most used map package, Like with the CTF package where the maps have the team colour and logo on different textures from different packs... e.g. Ancient and DecayedS

Like that but PMH Style ;)

This might be a nice little project for someone to take on. In the olden days when UT was released we were almost all on dial-up. It was common to see idlers in servers overnight, as it was the best way to get maps. The internet was young and not many personal websites existed for the maps to be posted on. Broadband was only a "pipe" dream for most of us.

The backward effect this had was that the textures and maps and such had to be as compact as possible to speed up the download process. Now that broadband is the norm, it's not an issue any longer.

I've experimented with high quality textures in UT maps and they make a profound difference, but the map sizes can quickly inflate from 2-5MB to 40-50MB for a full blown high-Q map.

If someone wants to take this on and make a texture by texture pack, I can guarantee it would see use. If you have photoshop, it's not that hard. You just have to make sure they will tile correctly.
